The Brief
This was a fun commission to do.
The request was for a WI Brooch and as my client is an artist, the drawing supplied was great!
The artwork
The rough drawing supplied was a little tricky to turn into a vector. The tonal values worked in pencil and finding an equivalent line in solid black was a bit of a challenge.
Rough sketches always have a bit more life to them but we think it’s a close compromise.
The final piece
The success of the final piece was due to a combination of dark line and lighter hand texture. The textures help separate the aspects of the design and give it some depth.
