A few points about the silver workshops:

Workshop venue is the Silver Forge studio in Milnthorpe, Cumbria – on the A6 at the traffic lights! Free short stay parking is available on the road (2 hours), and all day parking in pay & display car parks in the town.

  • Workshop numbers are limited to 2 or 3 participants unless otherwise stated and depending on course. Please indicate whether you would prefer individual or group tuition when booking a workshop.
  • Workshop dates have their own page, but I am flexible about workshop dates. If there isn’t a date listed that you can attend, please get in touch and we’ll choose a mutually convenient date for the diary.
  • Workshop refreshments are provided, although lunch is not included. There are several cafés and take-aways in the immediate vicinity and they offer an excellent lunch selection (both in terms of menu and price). You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch and eat in the workshop; there is always someone around to keep you company. And a quiet corner to read jewellery mags/ books if you prefer!
If there are any particular beverages you would prefer, or any special dietary requirements then please let me know.
  • Workshop duration – it is difficult to predict the exact duration of my workshops. I ask participants to arrive slightly earlier than the advertised start time so we can settle in, have a drink and a chat about what we are going to be doing before we get down to the “serious stuff”! End times can vary from those stated depending on the size of the group and pieces made, and participants are advised that we may run over time.
  • Workshop prices – tuition, use of tools and light refreshments are included in the prices (unless otherwise stated). Materials are available for sale at the workshop, and as I encourage participants to design and make individual pieces, I cannot state exact material costs for any workshop.

I aim to make each workshop fun, creative and satisfying

Whether you come on your own, with a friend or as part of a group, you’ll leave with at least one unique piece of jewellery that you have designed and made yourself – and the satisfaction of having learned new skills too.

“A very enjoyable and rewarding workshop.
So good to come away with something unique and I am now a jewellery designer!”
