Sweet Pea Silver Necklace

This was a fabulous floral themed commission. We were asked to create a sweet pea inspired necklace in silver with a set stone and 2 pearls.

The flowers were sculpted in silver clay and then fired, producing a fine silver piece.

Thin wire was used to plan out the swirls between the pieces.

As the design process continued we realised that a more free method of hanging the flowers would be needed.

We opted for chain links in between the flowers and gave them some visual space with drop wires.

We initially tried the pearls on drop wires but this meant that they competed with the centre-piece.

The length was removed and a pleasing hierachy emerged.
